Why take part in IMS ?
Through its participation in IMS, the International University Institute Luxembourg would like to share its experiences and exchange thoughts on best practices regarding CSR with other actors of the socio-economic stage of Luxembourg. Through its nature, IMS offers a platform of interaction, which accompanies and enriches the internal CSR procedures and contemplations of the IUIL. The IUIL, which is a public utility establishment under the guardianship of the Ministry for higher education and research, and offers life-long learning in Luxembourg, actively participates in the setting up of the program of sensitisation and of the conferences organised by IMS Luxembourg.
Which place does Corporate Social Responsibility hold in your company ?
As a key actor in the area of life-long universitary learning in Luxembourg, the IUIL sees itself as a creative and innovative actor in terms of life-long learning, as well as an establishment that wishes to fulfil the needs of society and Luxembourg’s economy. As a result, the IUIL encourages and develops the responsible behaviour of its employees at internal level, as well as towards business partners and clients. In its decisions and actions as a public utility establishment, the IUIL steps forward by establishing close links with its values and “core business”, life-long learning, in the interest of Luxembourg's society.
Corporate Social/Societal Responsibility is thus an integral part of the IUIL’s corporate culture.
What are your CSR policies and frameworks ?
At the heart of the IUIL, CSR implies:
• The systematic development of its employees’ competencies and the development of the institute through its employees.
• The setting up of strategies aiming for a transparency at the level of the corporation’s management, social equity amongst its employers and economic efficiency towards its public.
• Constant calling in to question and alignment of the IUIL’s managerial attitudes.
• The integration of CSR in its courses and research projects ("senior" project” and “ ROI of life-long learning for employee and corporaion”).
