Why take part in IMS ?
Legitech became a member in order to benefit from the experience of other corporations in terms of CSR, as well as to participate in CSR activities organised by other IMS members; activities that Legitech, an SME comprising about 35 employees, would never be able to set up alone. Legitech is thus looking for concrete actions rather than a simple discussion club, which merely treats CSR in a theoretic way.
Which place does Corporate Social Responsibility hold in your company ?
CSR corresponds to Legitech’s consciousness. CSR does not steer Legitech, it attempts to accompany the corporation in the conception of its commercial and financial objectives. CSR is not an undisclosed marketing tool, neither internally, nor externally, but corresponds to a discrete line of conduct for corporate management. These brief answers for IMS are an exception to our rule of discretion, but we are sharing this in the aim of exchanging visions with the other members of IMS.
What are your CSR policies and frameworks ?
Being a very young SME, its organisational structure is still flexible and no official CSR policy has been established. Our actions are somewhat reactions to specific situations we encounter on a day-to-day basis. The ideas and wishes of our employees are highly influential, so the general approach is not really “top-down”. We try to uphold our employees’ long-term employability by offering them training and classes to intensify and diversify their knowledge and skills, even beyond the corporation’s current needs. The equality between men and women is also an underlying issue we consider as very important and are trying to render possible in practice, little by little, through teleworking (technical solutions to be set up) and by offering part-time work adapted to individual needs (implying strong organisational efforts)…
Finally, our employees’ health is also an important topic that we are tackling (anti-smoking information, fruit offered daily by the corporation,…)
