Our Projects
IMS Luxembourg supports its members in collaborative projects and develop enhanced management models that help companies to progress towards CSR.
In this context, we launch six projects this year, two of them at a national scale :
Part&Act, that promotes partnership between companies and associations. It aims to create a professionnal interface between the corporate members of IMS Luxembourg and luxemburgish associations in order to emphasize the most value from these collaborations. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Economy and the European Social Fund. Part&Act's website was launched in november 2012 and methodological tools were developed. 2012 is also a year of numerous training activities, such as workshops and conferences in the project context.
The Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg - It is a commitment text which any luxemburgish company or organisation can sign in order to express its responsibility in promoting diversity. By signing the Charter, companies commit to combat all forms of discrimination and to setting up a policy in favour of equal opportunities and diversity, focused on the acknowledgement and valuing of individual skills. The Charter's objective is to encourage organisations to guarantee the respect and promotion of diversity in their workforce.
Ms Marie-Josée Jacobs, Minister for Family and Integration is the Patron os the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg. In order to follow the Diversity project, IMS Luxembourg has created a 'Comity for the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg' represented by the privileged partners - Deutsche Bank, l'Office Luxembourgeois de l'Accueil et de l'Intégration (OLAI), PwC, RBC Investor Services and Sodexo.
Besides these projects, IMS Luxembourg supports its memberson the following issues :
- SMEs, CSR and Territory - The purpose of this project is to launch a self-diagnostic tool, created by IMS, and an initiative that join SMEs together in a same geographic area of activity. We aim to find ways to mainstreaming CSR amongst SMEs, which frequently don't understand how to integrate CSR into business. Also, in collaboration with Ecoparc Windhof, we aim to make companies think about the importance of sharing resources in the same working area and duplicate this initiative in other industrial parks.
- Sustainable Food Purchaising - this project aims to provide tailored action plans in order to establish a sustainable procurement.
- Governance and corporate responsibility - Supported by ILA (Institut des Administrateurs Luxembourgeois), this project intends to strengthen the companies' capacities of organisation in managing environmental and sustainable development issues, attending to the entreprise strategy.
- CSR business case - what is the relation between CSR and employees motivation ? The main objective is to measure the link between CSR actions and the employees motivation. This study will identify and evaluate employee satisfaction regarding CSR initiatives within their companies, compared to other factors of motivation. The CEPS/INSTEAD will support the initiative.
