On Tuesday 15th June 2010, Christiane Wickler handed a cheque of 8’000EUR to the association “Women in Distress“. This donation, representing a certain percentage of the turnover from the brand “Fox, La griffe du Pall”, will help the association offer women and their children protection from domestic violence by providing houses, information centres and consultations. This donation will support these women and improve their life conditions by helping them to establish themselves socially and economically. This will be done by offering them psychological, legal and social help, as well as by offering specific training courses.
Simultaneously, Caritas Luxembourg received a cheque worth over 16’000EUR. This donation will go to the Haiti victims and will be used for the reconstruction of long-term infrastructures.
